Jesinta Campbell To Take Legal Action Against The Daily Telegraph

Jesinta Campbell is seeking legal advice over an article released by the Daily Telegraph that said she should postpone her wedding to her fiancé, AFL player Lance "Buddy" Franklin of the Sydney Swans.

Her agent Sharon Finnigan told The Australian, "We are seeking legal advice on the disgusting article that was written. I have no other words for it. It was so awful."

It all started when the Daily Telegraph released a story published on Saturday under the headline '13 reasons Jesinta and Buddy should postpone their summer wedding.' The article hit on the couple's personal relationship, claiming that Campbell should defer the wedding because he had been diagnosed with mental illness.

The article also suggested that Campbell's "appeal and allure" would dwindle down once she exchanged vow with her fiancé and Buddy's current earning will weaken due to his to mental condition.

"Because Franklin's career and earning power is less certain than it was a month ago," the article said. "With Swans bosses looking closely at Franklin's nine-year contract - he didn't reveal his epilepsy to them when he signed which may trigger a contract breach - who's to say Franklin will still be earning a million dollars in ... three years' time?"

The article emerge after Franklin was ruled out of the rest of the Swans' season due to his illness. After some evaluation, the Swans said Franklin suffers mild epilepsy and also mental health problem.

After the article was released, Campbell has hit back on it, branding it "appalling."

"If there is anyone out there who has or is currently suffering from mental illness I want to make something very clear to you," Campbell wrote on her Facebook page. "Your challenges do not define you, and your suffering does not make you less appealing as a life partner."
