Aladdin Seen Racing through New York on Magic Carpet

Pedestrians and drivers alike treated to the sight of Aladdin in full Disney-like regalia riding through the busy New York City  streets  on his red magic carpet. Some observers emitted were unable to control screams of delight while they watched the Thousand and One Nights hero 'fly'.

The stunt was an understandably impressive achievement as Aladdin did actually look like he was floating a few inches above ground.  Hundreds of cameras flashed out as people scrambled to capture Aladdin's appearance.  For his part, Aladdin affected a slightly bored demeanour as if it was just another day in the city and he was not a floating Disney prince in some Yeezy Boost footwear.

The talents behind this spontaneous street show were Jesse Wellens, who played the role of a very cool and non-plussed Aladdin, and Casey Neistat, who worked the camera to document Aladdin's and the audience's performance for their YouTube channel PrankvsPrank.

This became part of New York City's attraction during Halloween celebrations, along with Heidi Klum and Jimmy Carr lookalikes.

An observer asked, "Yo, how you do it man? That's crazy, pssh."

Jesse and Casey's video of the stunt has gone viral and has been viewed at least 6.5 million times since it was first posted on PrankvsPrank.  The duo have also taken the time to answer what everyone has been dying to know: how they pulled it off.

Casey took the viewers through the process, which was ingenious in its simplicity.  They took a metal frame and attached it to an electric skateboard.  The frame was then secured with tape.  The whole structure was covered in red cloth and gold trimmings were added to the side to conceal the skateboard's wheels.

Capturing Jessie's carpet trip was the more difficult challenge as Casey had to ride on his skateboard backward while staying in front of Jessie and using a customised steadicam.

Among Casey and Jessie's popular work is a video called Snowboarding in New York City, where Casey could be seen being dragged through the streets of New York by a 4x4 truck while riding a snowboard.
