Terry Crew Goes on Joyride With Muppets For Toyota Super Bowl Ad (VIDEO)

It's mayhem with the Muppets!

According to E! News, Toyota has released a 60-second Super Bowl ad entitled "Joyride," featuring the Muppets and former football player turned actor, Terry Crews. The ad promotes both the 2014 Toyota Highlander and the upcoming Muppets film, "Muppets Most Wanted".

The "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star is seen driving down the highway in his Toyota Highlander, when he pulls over after spotting a colorful brown down bus. Gonzo, Dr. Teeth, Animal and the rest of the group kick Crew out of the driver seat and force him to tag along in a musical journey.

Crew and the Muppets invade an elderly bingo game and are later seen rocking out in a nightclub and dancing at a parade. The ad ends with the actor shirtless with a tie around his head, singing from the sunroof of the car.

"Joyride," and several other commercials will make their broadcast debuts during Super Bowl XLVIII on Sunday, Feb. 2 at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium. In a press release Jack Hollis, vice president of Toyota Division Marketing at Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc., expressed his excitement about the upcoming ad.

"Our game-day spot shows how Toyota Highlander puts the 'fun' in function," Hollis said. "Toyota vehicles are built to last and can even endure the most boisterous Muppets, a former NFL player as well as a center console full of chickens."

Crews played professional football for six years, but he is best known for his roles in films including "The Expendables" franchise, "Bridesmaids" and "The Longest Yard."

"It's truly an honor to be a part of this wild ride with Toyota and the Muppets," Crews said, according to a press release. "The Toyota Highlander is the perfect vehicle to teach my character how to loosen up and have some fun. Be prepared for some laughs on game day."

"Muppets Most Wanted" hits theaters March 21, 2014. The film, which takes the Muppets on global tour fighting crime, also stars Ricky Gervais, Ty Burrell and Tina Fey.

"We all grew up with Kermit and the Muppets, and that makes Toyota's collaboration with Disney very special for us," said Hollis. "The two brands share a focus on delighting guests, and this allows us to take them along on a fun ride."
