'Dishwasher Food': Five Meals You Can Cook In Your Dishwasher

It is irrefutable that the dishwasher is one of the most amazing appliances ever created. Firstly, no one likes to wash the dishes as much as possible, and second, it does save loads of time when it comes to washing the dishes.

But here's what one doesn't know about the practical dishwasher, other than its ability to well... wash dishes, it can also cook food.

Yep. Cook food.

Who knew?

Well the guys in Sorted Food knew, so they decided to check how well the beloved dishwasher can make food.

They tested over nine different dishes to cook in the dishwasher, ranging from sponge cake to pork chops to couscous. They put the dishwasher to the test and found that some foods were pretty well cook.

A video of them doing so is uploaded in their channel on Youtube.

According to their video, the nine tested meals were salmon, whole fish, eggs, asparagus, meat, couscous, sponge cake, sweet potato, and poached fruit.

Once the guys in sorted food arranged everything properly in the dishwasher, they set it at 70 degree Celsius for two hours and twenty-five minutes.

After the guys waited for the dishwasher to finish "cooking," they found that out of the nine meals, five of them were passable and good enough to eat.

So here are the five meals that are good enough to cook in your dishwasher according to the guys in Sorted Food:

Both fish , the fish they cooked were salmon and rainbow fish.

Couscous, which according to the guys was perfect.

The meat was also well enough to eat, although a little dry but it was edible.

Poached fruit did so well one of the guys commented how good it was.

Another good enough to eat food was the asparagus, but one of the chefs said it is more ideal to seal them in a bag first before putting it in the dishwasher.

All in all the odds are in the dishwashers favor.
