Savannah Guthrie Announces on Air that She is Both Married and Pregnant

Savannah Guthrie is breaking some big news.

According to People magazine, the "Today" co-anchor announced Monday that she got married over the weekend to political consultant fiancé, Mike Feldman, and that they are expecting their first child together.

"We are so excited, overjoyed and feel so blessed," Guthrie said with a smile.

Guthrie, who did not take a honeymoon, talked about her weekend wedding, even showing off her wedding ring on NBC's "Today". The couple got married in Guthrie's hometown of Tucson, Arizona. Her brother, Camron Guthrie, walked her down the aisle.

People reported that the ceremony gathered about 80 to 90 people. Attendees included her "Today" family, Al Roker, Matt Lauer, Hoda Kotb and Willie Geist and NBC News reporter Chuck Todd. Lauer called her a "beautiful bride."

Guthrie showed footage from the wedding, including the highlight of the reception; Guthrie announced she is four months pregnant. The baby news brought guests to their feet. Guthrie, 42, and Feldman, 45, reminded guests to keep the nuptials secret until Guthrie could announce it herself on air.

"It was beautiful. Just everything I could have dreamed," Guthrie said. "We just wanted to have this private moment. It was a small wedding. We just wanted that moment with our close friends and family to basically drop a big bomb on them."

Guthrie, who wore Monique Lhuillier, added: "We set the wedding date, I bought my dress, and then I found out. So I did a little praying. ... I feel great, and actually I'm so happy to tell the world because I can't suck in this gut anymore."

The newswoman first announced her engagement to Feldman last May. The pair met in 2008 at Feldman's 40th birthday party.

The couple's first child is expected in late summer.
