Former James Bond 007, Pierce Brosnan Burned ‘Spectre’

Film critics and some fans found the latest James Bond installment to be lacking flavor. Apparently, a former James Bond agrees and personally burned the 007 film Spectre.

Pierce Brosnan found the movie with fault and had a dislike for it, apparently. The former James Bond Star said in an interview that the movie was too lengthy and he was ultimately disappointed.

"I was looking forward to it", Brosnan said. But he burned it bad when he added that the movie was weak because of the length itself. It could have been condensed. In his opinion, Spectre was a weird hybrid between James Bond and Jason Bourne (the guy Matt Damon played in the Bourne Trilogy). While watching the film, he was unsure if he was really in a Bond movie.

Well, are you really going to consider the opinion of a former 007 actor from 1995 to 2002? Maybe. But to soften the blow, he added that Daniel Craig, the current Bond, was awesome in the movie calling him a "mighty warrior" - sharing the same sentiments when he saw SkyFall in 2013. Brosnan believes Craig is the perfect Bond, emotionally and physically, for this age and time.

"Daniel, in the fourth go-round, has ownership of it," Brosnan praises.

And what does Brosnan think of Craig's scandalous social media comment where he'd rather "slash his wrists rather than play in another bond movie"? Brosnan thinks it's just a healthy response after making several Bond movies where you just want the peace and quiet of not hearing the name for a while. He believes Craig will do alright and that everyone should back off and give him a year off.

Will we see Brosnan playing a role in the next Bond movie? Who knows. But then that'd mean it might mean double trouble or the ultimate role confusion.

The Irish actor is currently out promoting the DVD release of his recent thriller project No Escape, as posted in an interview with HitFix.
