Revealed: Prince William and Catherine's Favorite Christmas Desserts

Prince William and Duchess Catherine has revealed their favorite Christmas dessert just in time for their Christmas lunch with the Queen at Sandringham House. This year will be daughter Princess Charlotte's first Christmas.

Duchess Catherine's favorite has been reported to be Queen of Puddings, while Prince William is the Eton Mess, a combination of berries and sugar glittered with a taste of honey and vanilla. Both are hoping these dishes will be appearing on the menu.

However, Woman's Day believed that one dish that is sure to be served up on December 25th is the traditional figgy pudding, dished up with lashings of brandy butter. Of course, the traditional Norfolk turkey with all the trimmings will still be set on the dinner table.

The dessert menu last year included more English dishes such as cabinet pudding and Monmouth pudding. The celebration was held in the Duke and Duchess' then newly-renovated Anmer Hall, their 10-bedroom Georgian mansion on the Sandringham estate. The Norfolk residence was a gift from the Queen to Prince William.

Nonetheless, the following are some of the royal couple's favorite food as highlighted in Delish:

  • Gazpacho tomato salad - as a supporter of organic foods, Kate loves to share deconstructed gazpacho with William during dinner.
  • Barbecue-glazed salmon - the couple loves barbecue. One of Kate's friends even says Kate sticks to "beans, salads, salmon, and barbecues."
  • Oven-fried fish and chips - a favorite of Prince William
  • Monkeylada - a favorite of Kate

Last year, Kate's family comprised of her parents, sister Pippa, and brother James, spent their first-ever royal Christmas celebration with the couple. According to ABC News, last year's celebration was a very "Middleton Christmas indeed." It is "another sign that Kate and William intend to make sure Kate's family maintains a prominent role in their life."

The royal couple also travels often to Kate's parent's place in Bucklebury.
