McDonald’s Menu Update: Breaded Salmon Sandwich Served in Singapore

It seems that McDonald's new marketing strategy involves offering their clients with all the food they crave and then some.

In response to consumer demand for menu newness, McDonald's Singapore has created a breaded salmon sandwich named Fillet - O - Fish.

The breaded salmon patty is topped with a "crisp salad mix" and McChicken sauce and is sandwiched between two buns topped with oat flakes, linseeds, rye flakes, and sunflower seeds.

The patty is made up of salmon from Hokkaido, diced Cheddar cheese, paella spice mix, and red and yellow bell pepper, according to The Daily Meal.

Available for a limited time, the new menu item features a breaded salmon patty flanked by a crisp salad mix that is topped with McChicken sauce - all served between a multi-grain topped bun, according to Chew Boom.

The Breaded Salmon with Paella Spice Mix Extra Value Meal includes fries and a drink for about $5.35 USD. For an additional 85 cents, users can swap out the fries for a Garden Side Salad.

The sandwich was incepted as part of the "you said it, we made it" campaign of McDonalds.

Other notable introductions of McDonalds this month included partnering with the Greek yogurt production company Chobani.

They also introduced the "McPick 2 for $5" menu, which will be available in McDonald's restaurants across the country starting from Feb. 29.

"We wanted to thank our guests for providing their feedback as we continue to build a better McDonald's," Jessica Foust, McDonald's director of culinary innovation, said in a statement. "As a thank you and as proof that we will continue to listen, we are making our most iconic menu items available for a limited time at never-before-seen value."

The company points out that the premium offerings have been offered at discounted prices in the past, but never on the same menu at the same time before.
