The King of Burgers: How You Can Order a 1.7kg Burger with Extra 700 Pickles

People who often complain of their burgers not having enough pickles in it should probably go to Japan and order from a Burger King outlet there. It seems the staff there is accommodating enough to allow 700 pickles as extra toppings. Or in lieu of pickles, maybe 1000 slices of cheese or 100 slices of onions or 1000 slices of bacon might do the trick.

Mike, a writer for RocketNews24, chronicled his writing team's foray into the local Burger King outlet for an unusual request - a double Whooper with an equally whopping 700 slices of pickles as extra topping. Surprisingly, the local Burger King management acquiesced to this unusually sour request but the order had to be placed in advanced so as not to bother the regular customer with more normal topping requirements. And it had to come with a warning from the store manager that they couldn't vouch for the resulting flavor.

When the order came, the towering burger was so impressive they had to document the historic moment by taking more a couple of pictures. Towering burger might be a misnomer in this case as evidently, it is more pickles than the burger but yes, it was still billed as a Burger King double whopper with an $80 additional charge for the extra pickles.

The unusual customers found soon enough that eating the 1.7kg burger the normal way proved to be impossible. So it had to be packed to be eaten back at their office, with one guy eating the regular whopper and the rest had to do with the 700 extra pickles divided equally among them.

Apparently, this was not the first time that the crew went to their favorite burger joint to test the limits of Burger King's Be it Your Way slogan (yes it was changed back in 2014 from Have it Your Way). The burger company has been known the world over for its extensive burger customization options. That or maybe the Japanese staff is just a bit friendlier.
