McDonald’s News: Following KFC’s Decision, McDonald’s Bans Non Adults

After the major fast food chain KFC, McDonald's has also taken a step ahead and banned the non-adults or under-18s from its restaurants on police advice.

Shockingly, it comes just a day after a campaign by more than 400 residents of Emerson Greens, against McDonald's local outlet in the location.

The ban actually means that not anyone under 18 years of age can sit in the restaurant unless an adult who is responsible accompanies him or her.

Although, only one restaurant of McDonald's, located in Stoke - on - Trent have been affected till date, yet experts suggest that more outlets of the fast food chain can be affected and may see a fall in sales.

According to the owners of the fast food chain, the policy was implemented after the police mentioned the policy to crack down the troublemakers at one of their city restaurants.

A McDonald's spokesperson said, according to Bristol Post, "Following ongoing issues with anti-social behavior, the police advised us to introduce a takeaway-only policy in our Meir Park restaurant for unaccompanied under 18s."

"Measures like this are a last resort and taken in the interests of the safety of our customers and crew. This policy is under constant review," he mentioned.

Bristol has had its own share of McDonald's-related drama.

In July, an enraged customer threw a Big Tasty bacon burger in a female worker's face at the Avonmead Retail Park restaurant after a mistake with his order.

Additionally, an avid campaign group in Fishponds is involved in a long-standing feud with the American fast-food company over plans to build a restaurant on a busy road.

Thus, it is yet to be seen if the ban on non-adults is a temporary or a permanent one, but according to experts, it will only be in place until the anti - social activities are reduced in numbers.
