Angie Harmon And Husband Jason Sehorn To Divorce – Sad News, But What Went Wrong?

Actress Angie Harmon and husband Jason Sehorn had been married for over 13 years and have three children together - so, what was it that made this beautiful actress and athlete couple call it quits?

They seemed like the perfect couple, in a sweetly smooth yet public way - for example, who can forget when Angie Harmon's husband proposed to her during "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno back in 2000?

At the time, Jason Sehorn surprised everyone - his girlfriend included - coming down at a taping of the late night show as a surprise guest, and bending down in one knee to ask her to marry him - something right out of a fairy tale!

However, it seems that it wasn't all nice and sweet between Angie Harmon and husband these days. According to People Magazine, the couple had been in a long distance relationship for a while now, due to her shooting schedule: their family home was in Charlotte, North Carolina while the actress was shooting her show "Rizzoli & Isles" in Los Angeles.

The former "Law and Order" star told the magazine that she had a tough time of being away from her family most of the week, and she also said that sometimes Angie Harmon and husband would meet up halfway and see each other in Texas, which was a 2 hour and a half flight for the both of them.

News outlets seem to think that the long distance ordeal was what damaged their relationship to the point of separation. However, it seems that the former couple is going to have an amicable split.

As news of the split came out, The Washington Post dedicated an article to studying how often the relationships between actors and athletes worked, citing examples such as Eva Longoria and Tony Parker. It's sad to see that Angie Harmon and husband have now joined the list of divorced partners.

Angie Harmon's husband, Jason Sehorn, is a retired football star from the National Football League (NFL), having played for the New York Giants from 1994 to 2002. He was previously married to CNN correspondent Whitney Casey.

Harmon and Sehorn have three daughters: Finley Faith (born October 14, 2003), Avery Grace (born June 22, 2005), and Emery Hope (born December 18, 2008), and it is still unknown how the custody arrangements will unfold. The actress' representatives told the media that they wished their privacies to be respected at this particular time.
