The comedy series New Girl is about to have a new girl for its fifth season and it is none other than Megan Fox who is going to fill in for the maternity absence of Zooey Deschanel. Fox was reported by The Inquisitr to play the role of a pharmaceutical representative, who is going to be living at Jessica’s room. This is not the first time that Megan Fox would do some comedy on TV, but even her who already has been in this business, still won’t escape critics from so many people, especially from the show’s fans for a long time. Her resume includes, as per Inquisitr’s record, Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (with Lindsay Lohan), an appearance on Two and a Half Men, What I Like About You and even the animate comedy film, Robot Chicken. Despite of her critically acclaimed work from various TV and movie stints doing comedy, fans of New Girl are not pleased that they even took to Twitter their disappointment about her recent casting. They all wanted to boycott the show saying they’d rather just find a new series to watch since Fox is taking over. Being in Hollywood, Fox doesn’t seem too affected by those comments and is even confident enough that she will do a great job. This is the latest TV project that Fox has since been after Hope and Faith, which was about 10 years ago. Max Greenfield who is on the series showed so much support for the actress and is excited working with her. Deschannel also endorsed Fox on her Twitter account, so this is among the things why Fox is confident about this gig.
