Before the new flavored chocolate was confirmed, a photo of Cadbury Vegemite-flavored chocolate appeared online on Reddit last month. Online users even thought that the new odd chocolate flavor was a hoax and was part of April Fool's Day, according to Junkee report.

 "Yes, the rumors were true. Yes, it's available June 1st (but you may see it sooner). Yes, it's surprisingly delicious," the message flashed on Cadbury Vegemite-flavored chocolate video that was posted on Twitter.

Right after the controversial Cadbury Vegemite-flavored chocolate video was released online, Twitter users posted various reactions about it.

Some really hate the new combination, while some expressed their excitement over Cadbury Vegemite-flavored chocolate.

Vegemite is a popular Australian spread made from residue left when brewing a beer. It is composed of strong flavors that include boiled-down vegetable stock, dormant yeast, and lots of salt.

In an email to GoodFood, Cadbury stated that the Cadbury Vegemite-flavored chocolate bar is being filled with caramel with a hint of Vegemite taste, similar to salted caramel, rather than filled entirely with the salty, yeasty spread.
