'Heroes: Reborn' Update: Will Hayden Panettiere and Zachary Quinto Return to the Series?

Several discontinued TV shows will be making a comeback soon.

A new 'The X-Files' mini-series is currently filming in Vancouver, and the sci-fi series 'Heroes' will also continue the stories of ordinary people with extraordinary powers.

'Heroes: Reborn' will mark the return of Noah Bennet (Jack Coleman) and the Haitian (Jimmy Jean-Louis), who are both listed in the main cast. Masi Oka has also been confirmed to reprise his role as Hiro Nakamura, and Sendhil Ramamurthy will return as Mohinder Suresh.

Greg Grunberg, Noah Gray-Cabey and Cristine Rose will return in guest appearances.

Fans that are waiting to hear if their favorite characters will return are bound to be disappointed. 'Heroes' creator and mini-series executive producer Tim Kring just told EW that there will be no other characters returning.

"Everybody who's coming back has been in the press," Kring said. "We have a cadre of characters from the previous that will make appearances-some bigger than others, some just in a cameo way. It will be an interesting use of the older characters."

This means that Hayden Panettiere, Zachary Quinto, Ali Larter, Milo Ventimiglia and Adrian Pasdar will not appear in the mini-series.

Panettiere played Claire Bennet, the cheerleader who had advanced regenerative powers. Quinto portrayed Gabriel Gray, who was also known as Sylar. The character was a serial killer who murdered superhumans to absorb their powers. Claire and Sylar are two of the show's more popular characters.

'Heroes: Reborn' will also star Ryan Guzman, Zachary Levi, Kiki Sukezane, Robbie Kay, Gatlin Green and Rya Kihlstedt. Character actor Pruitt Taylor Vince will also make a guest appearance. Most of the roles are still undisclosed.

The show's first episode will be titled 'Awakening.' The 'Heroes: Reborn' Twitter account released three new pictures from the series, featuring Coleman, Levy and Sukezane last May.

'Heroes: Reborn' will air on NBC Thursdays 8 PM this fall.
