Smallest Camera Weighs only 2.6 oz

GoPro, the American brand for versatile camera, will soon launch its smallest and most compact camera, HERO4 SESSION, weighing a mere 2.6 oz., based on PetaPixel, the news for photography enthusiasts.

It is so small and compact; you can easily wear it on your helmet or mount it on your bike.  It's so lightweight; it's almost as light as three slices of bread.  It is 50% smaller and 40% lighter than the HERO4 Black and Silver.

You can take it with you when diving up to 33 feet down.  There is no need to put it in waterproof casing.  The user interface is also simple, with just one button to operate it.  One short press starts the video recording, while one long press starts the time-lapse photo capture.  Its built-in battery can last through 2 hours of adventure.

It comes with a ball joint buckle making it possible to rotate the camera 360 degrees.  But no matter what angle you take the photo, GoPro has an auto image rotation, setting it right when you view.

It takes 8-megapixel photographs, has dual microphone and built-in wifi and Bluetooth so after you take photos, you can right away post it online.

HERO4 SESSION will be available in retailer stores and GoPro online store by July 12.  It will be priced at $400.

According to the brand's spokesman, Chris Kinman, the camera is great for adventurists who are into extreme sports. But it can also be for families who want to document their summer vacations. The device is also expected to get a warm welcome from photographers and filmmakers, because of its professional video quality.  If you want more controls and settings, the GoPro is best paired with GoPro App and Smart Remote.

GoPro is based in California, USA.  It was founded by Rick Woodman in 2002.
