'Ash Vs Evil Dead': Bruce Campbell And Lucy Lawless Talk About How Crazy The Show Can Get [VIDEO]

Fans of the cult classic 'Evil Dead' and its sequels are understandably excited about the upcoming TV series, which will mark the return of Bruce Campbell as Ash Williams.

Campbell recently spoke to io9 about the show and admitted that there will be blood.

"We're allowed to do as much blood as we want, which is a lot," Campbell confirmed. "We're going to do a lot of blood."

He also added that the network will allow the series absolute freedom.

"This is Starz. There are zero content restrictions for this entire show," he said. "Words, boobies, carnage, mayhem... We can do anything we want on this show, which is very suitable for 'Evil Dead.'"

Meanwhile, Lucy Lawless, who will play Ruby Knowby in the show, reveals more about her character and why she doesn't like Ash.

"If you look back, if you were a hardcore fan, you would know that Professor Knowby was the guardian of the Necronomicon back in the original movies," she said. "So she's got a big old chip on her shoulder, something's been brewing for 30 years and that carbuncle is about to burst in her rage and obsession over Ash Williams."

Lawless also confirmed that Ruby Knowby will have her own signature weapon, but it could be a tricky thing to wield.

"Yes, she does have [a weapon] and she has to be really careful in how she handles it because it could cause her a lot of trouble," she said. "She does have a signature weapon."

The actress also admitted that Ruby will be against Ash, but not for long.

"Yeah, that's accurate at first," Lawless confirmed, before adding, "But by the end, everything will have changed, so it all will be revealed."

'Ash vs. Evil Dead' was created by Campbell and 'Evil Dead' director Sam Raimi. It also stars Jill Marie Jones, Ray Santiago and Dana Delorenzo.

The series will premiere on Starz on October 31, 2015.
