'Mr. Robot' Season Finale Postponed After WDBJ Shooting In Virginia! What Happened To Elliot In The Last Episode?

Fans who were planning to turn on their TVs to watch the highly anticipated season finale of the USA Network thriller 'Mr. Robot' were in for a major disappointment. The airing of the episode 'eps1.9_zer0-day.avi' has been put on hold following the tragic shooting of two WDBJ7 journalists in Roanoke.

USA Network released the following statement:

"The previously filmed season finale of 'Mr. Robot' contains a graphic scene similar in nature to today's tragic events in Virginia. Out of respect to the victims, their families and colleagues, and our viewers, we are postponing tonight's episode. Our thoughts go out to all those affected during this difficult time."

On Wednesday morning, Vester Lee Flanagan gunned down reporter Alison Parker and photographer Adam Ward during a live broadcast for WDBJ. Flanagan had previously worked for WDBJ under the name Bryce Williams but was fired in 2013. Although the suspect was in custody, Moneta Sheriff Bill Overton has confirmed that Vester Lee Flanagan has died of "a self-inflicted gunshot wound."

But what will happen to Elliot (Rami Malek) in the 'Mr. Robot' season finale?

In the most recent episode, Elliot and Mr. Robot (Christian Slater) head for the latter's ancestral home. However, Elliot snaps and ends up pushing Mr. Robot out of a window. Elliot later realizes that Mr. Robot, who he recently found out is his father, was gone and that Elliot had taken on his father's persona by saying "I am Mr. Robot." He later teams up with Tyrell (Martin Wallström) to push through with the hack, but not before Elliot remembers where Darlene (Carly Chaikin) has hidden her gun.

Is it possible that Elliot has taken the gun and was responsible for the scene that kept the 'Mr. Robot' season finale on hold? Find out when 'eps1.9_zer0-day.avi' airs on USA Network on September 2 at 10pm ET.
