Reality TV Stars Like Kendra Wilkinson and Paris Hilton Cannot Keep Up With The Kardashians

Reality TV Stars come and go however some of them seem to make a lasting impression and accumulate millions of dollars just by being themselves on national television. Kim Kardashian has made her entire career off being a reality television star since Keeping Up With The Kardashians made its debut on the E! Network in 2007.

The show made Kim Kardashian along with her family member's household names. The series tracks the lives of the wealthy family and their lavish lifestyle along with family bickering and motherhood. Some people seem to forget there was a time when Kim was just the pretty brunette walking the red carpet along side Paris Hilton.

Remember Paris Hilton? The blonde socialite was once a reality TV star on the show, The Simple Life. The show followed Hilton and then best friend, Nicole Richie as they try to lead simple, farm lives. There was one episode in particular in which Hilton expressed her obliviousness to Wal-Mart. She thought it was a store that sold wall paper. The first three seasons were aired by FOX and the last two by E!. The series lasted from 2003-2007. It ended the same year Keeping Up With The Kardashians made its television debut.

These days Paris Hilton seems to staying out of the lime light. She had a reality show on the Oxygen network in 2011 however it was pulled after just one season. Guess she really isn't "that hot".

Kendra Wilkinson also gained fame as one of Hugh Hefners girlfriends on The Girls Next Door. Wilkinson was the sporty one with a signature laugh that some could easily find irritating. Despite her Playboy sex appeal, the blonde bombshell had a quirky sense of humor and natural charm. She earned her own reality TV show in 2009 which lasted until 2011. E! pulled the plug on Kendra and since 2012, her show airs on the WE tv, channel. Has anyone even heard of that channel? Wilkinson has a great personality but her lifestyle consists of motherhood and former football player husband, Hank Baskett who does not make headline news. If one is not newsworthy, popular television networks will simply get rid of them.

There is a new epidemic of reality TV stars. One of which is so young she cannot even drive a car. Alana Thompson became famous with her nickname, "Honey Boo Boo" on Toddlers & Tiaras. Her outgoing personality made her a fan favorite and TLC created a show in 2012, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. The youngster is quite adorable and so if her family. They appear humble and relatable unlike Hilton who grew up wealthy and spoiled.

Stars come and go. They hit their peak popularity and eventually lose their shine. This seems also true of reality TV stars however some of them shine on longer than others.
