Eva Mendes has a sense of humor when it comes to rumors about babies and her relationship with her boyfriend, Ryan Gosling, Us Weekly reported.
During an appearance on NBC's "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Wednesday, the 39-year-old actress insisted she was not pregnant and jokingly cleared up the rumor that she and Gosling have gone their separate ways.
The "Hitch" star said people assumed she was expecting a baby after she refused to walk through an airport scanner at LAX.
"It's so ridiculous," Mendes said about the pregnancy rumors. "It all started because I didn't want to go through those X-ray scanners at the airport, which are really creepy. They basically see you naked, right. And not only that, but there's a radiation aspect to it. So I always opt out. I always ask for a personal pat down."
"Do you wanna say, is it a girl or a boy?" Ellen joked.
"Oh, god! No! No!" Mendes stressed.
"The Place Beyond The Pines" actress also put to rest rumors that she and Gosling had split. The couple have reportedly been dating since 2011, but have not been photographed together since last October, Us Weekly reported.
When asked about her Valentine's Day plans this year, Mendes poked fun at the breakup reports.
"I'm not a big Valentine's Day person," she explained. "I'll probably just order a deep dish and watch 'The Notebook' or something. Just cry, weep."
