Taco Bell's Mystery Menu, Sweetgreen's Crispy Chicken Salad Join Chicken Wars of 2021

The fast-food chicken wars of 2021 among famous fast-food chains are still ongoing, with restaurants revealing their brand-new menu and version of chicken dishes.

With Chick-Fil-A and Popeye's taking the lead since 2019, two more players or candidates enter the competition, with Taco Bell's Mystery Menu and Sweetgreen's Crispy Chicken Salad.

With the announcement of the respective food chains, more options will be available for the customers, and find out which roster of food chains holds the best chicken meal of 2021.

It is remembered that upon the entrance of January, fast food giants KFC and McDonald's announces their version of a crispy chicken sandwich anchored to battle Chick-Fil-A and Popeye's, which is known to have their version of Crispy Chicken sandwich even before 2021.

In an interview with Business Insider, Taco Bell's global chief food innovation officer Liz Matthews notes that the customers can expect that their menu will significantly change their menu when chicken is taken into account in 2021.

The mystery chicken menu will be a part of a wider ranger and returning food items this year.

Matthews notes in Yahoo! News that they think that all of the players among the fast-food chicken wars are doing a great job, but what their brand will produce will shake the competition.

Press Form shares that Taco bell has already ventured in putting fried chicken options, making them a test run chicken tenders in two cities and their famous Naked Chicken Chalupa that was limitedly offered during 2017.

Taco Bell's mystery chicken follows the announcement of potatoes' return in their menu after they cut it off their menu as a response to the pandemic.

Now, if you are looking for a healthier option to choose from the roster of foods offered in the fast-food chicken wars, you might want to try Sweetgreen's crispy chicken salad.

Known for their seasonal offering, Sweetgreen's crispy chicken salad features romaine lettuce, crispy rice, blackened chicken, carrots, chopped local pickles, shredded cabbage tomatoes, and baby spinach.

The Thrillist notes an interview of Sweetgreen's co-founder and chief concept officer Nic Jammet with CNBC, saying that their reference of putti8ng the chicken sandwich into a bowl is the people's thoughts about what they eat and their relationship with the food to start the new year out

 MSN adds that the salad company collaborates with famous streaming personalities like Peloton's Ally Love and YouTube's Valkyrae to offer a customized version of their bowl. Jammet also notes in MSN that their food is making people crave and is celebrated by people who are loved by the masses.

With Taco Bell's Mystery menu that includes chicken and Sweetgreen's crispy chicken salad, which is their take on the crispy chicken sandwich, people can enjoy another addition to the fast-food chicken wars. Remember that moderation should always be remembered so that you can enjoy these foods for a long time.
