Denver Kitten Frozen Got Rescued By An Animal Shelter

Denver Kitten Frozen - Named Elsa, after the "Frozen" character, the little kitten was found outside in the cold, almost freezing to death.

It happened on Thursday that Allison Baker brought the kitten to Denver's Dumb Friends League, an animal shelter. The small creature was actually found by a friend of Baker's.

Upon first seeing the small kitten, she actually believed that it wouldn't make it. Also, they named it "Tom Jones," because they weren't sure if it was a female or male, ABC 7 noted.

Still not sure about the kitten being alive or dead, she put it on a heating pad  and took her to the Dumb Friends League.

The first thing they did there was measure her temperature.

"Her temperature was not even registering on the thermometer, so it was below 90 degrees. We put little booties on her and had a hair dryer," said Morgan Schneider, Health Care Supervisor at the animal shelter.

According to ABC News, the normal temperature for cat is 101.5, so if in this kitten's case, it registered at less than 90, then she was truly freezing.

After this, the kitten was given a warm IV solution and laid on a bed of heating pads. After an hour of attention, finally Elsa stabilized, NY Daily News shared.

The kitten is assumed to be three or four month old. She was named Elsa not only for the "Frozen" character, but also for having an obviously "strong and feisty spirit," the caretakers mentioned.

Once Elsa is fully healthy again, she will be put on for adoption. That is, unless someone claims her first.

Baker could not believe the fact that the kitten that was nearly frozen to death made it and is doing a lot better now.

The cold weather is a threat to everyone, but these people simply refused to let go and Elsa made it. The adorable kitten is named after "Frozen," but luckily didn't end up effectively frozen.
