Bill Cosby Says No To ‘Late Show With David Letterman’ In The Midst Of Multiple Rape Accusations

Bill Cosby, 'Late Show With David Letterman' - Bill Cosby was scheduled to appear in the "Late Show With David Letterman" on Wednesday. His spokesman confirmed on Friday night that he cancelled.

No reasons were shared by David Brokaw, the spokesman. He just stated that it was a true fact the actor wouldn't appear in Letterman's show, NY Daily News reported.

The cancellation on the "Late Show With David Letterman" is not exactly shocking, as Bill Cosby has been facing multiple rape accusations for years. Still, it was recently that all the accusations came back with force.

It was after Hannibal Buress made a Stand-Up comedy show, where he specifically referred to Bill Cosby as a rapist. The issue blew after that and now Bill Cosby gets asked constantly about the issue.

In addition, Barbara Bowman wrote a first person article on Nov. 13 and the title was pretty clear already: "Bill Cosby raped me. Why did it take 30 years for people to believe my story?"

In it, she complained about never being believed when telling her story by the media, but now that it recently was mentioned by Hannibal Buress, everyone wonders about the veracity and accuses the actor.

She also stated that she wouldn't stop and will continue speaking about it to help other "actors and models" especially, who are "vulnerable to the influences of the rich and powerful."

Bowman explained that she was 17 years old when Bill Cosby became her mentor and a "father figure." According to her statement, he took advantage of this situation and raped her multiple times.

To go even further, "Late Night With David Letterman" wasn't the latest heard about Bill Cosby. On Sat., he had an interview along with his wife. They were questioned by Scott Simon from NPR.

Simon went directly to the source and decided to ask Bill Cosby about the allegations.

"This question gives me no pleasure, Mr. Cosby, but there have been serious allegations raised about you in recent days," to this, Bill Cosby shakes his head, as to deny talking about it. Simon tries again.

"You're shaking your head no. I'm in the news business. I have to ask the question. Do you have any response to those charges?" The actor shakes his head once again in response to this. Simon tries one more time.

"Shaking your head no. There are people who love who might like to hear from you about this. I want to give you the chance."

After that, Simon thanks Bill Cosby and his wife for attending. Then, he shares on Twitter that the one thing he regrets is having to ask those questions in front of Mrs. Cosby.

It's a shame but the "Late Show With David Letterman" could not be the only fail of appearance by Bill Cosby if the issue continues with the same fervor.
