'German Co-pilot Feared to be Going Blind

Germanwings co-pilot Andreas Lubitz feared he was going blind and may have been unfit to fly before he crashed a passenger jet into a French mountainside in March. The doctors didn't report their concerns to Andreas Lubitz's employers, however, because of German patient privacy laws, Marseille Prosecutor Brice Robin told reporters in Paris. Robin met with families of victims Thursday and updated reporters on the status of the investigation into the March 24 crash, which killed all 150 people aboard. Families are just starting to receive remains of their loved ones and will start holding burials in the coming days and weeks. Robin said the investigation so far "has enabled us to confirm without a shadow of a doubt.

Pitch Perfect two has already grossed more than $160 million at the box office since its premiere in May, beating the first movie's $65 million income. The three year gap between the release of the first two movies will not occur this time around, as a faster demand for the third film seemed clear after the second movies great success.

    A British woman arrested for posing naked on Malaysia's Mount Kinabalu has admitted she was "stupid and disrespectful", her father says. Eleanor Hawkins, 23, from Derbyshire, is among a group of 10 people who stripped before taking photographs at the peak of the mountain on 30 May. Timothy Hawkins said he expects his daughter, who is "very sorry", to plead guilty in court on Monday. Malaysian officials said she could be charged with causing public nuisance. Miss Hawkins, who was head girl at independent Ockbrook School, will be sentenced straight away and could face three months' imprisonment or a fine, her father said.
  • 'Police Investigators Believe Employee Was Involved in Escape Plan

    Police investigators believe that Joyce Mitchell, an employee at Clinton Correctional Facility in Dannemora, New York, was involed in the escape of two convicts. The convicts, David Sweat, 34 years old, and Richard Matt, 48 years old, escaped Clinton Correctional Facility with the use of power tools they got from the Prison itself. David Sweat, and Richard W. Matt, were both serving long sentences for commited murder. Matt was convicted and sentenced for 25 years to life, for the kidnapping and death of a man in 1997, while Sweat and an unknown accomplice killed a deputy Sheriff in 2002 by shooting him more than a dozen times and was sentenced to life imprisonment without chance of parole. Gov. Andrew Cuomo of the state of New York is offering a $100,000 reward for any valid information leading to the whereabouts of the two convicts. Prison guards discovered the inmates beds inside the prison were stuffed with clothes to serve as decoys for the escaped convicts in an attempt to fool the guards doing their rounds. Matt and Sweat apparently used power tools to escape the Prison.

    The US men's national team for soccer recently won against team Germany. The USMNT defeats Germany with a score of 2-1. The Germans took the the game early on. The US team was having a hard time but their Goalkeeper, Brad Guzan kept team USA alive with some solid saves. But Germany takes the first point in the 12th minute of the game. Mario Götze scores the first point for the Germans, but the US ties the game before halftime.

    A 13-year-old boy took part in gang rape along with six other men which was recorded on a mobile phone. The victim was a 20-year-old woman that had been visiting her friends before walking through the subway station on her way home. It was there that she met one of the suspects, Mihaita Pailie. The 33-year-old man is one of the 7 people you took part in the gang rape. The woman was taken to a house, in the house were two bedrooms. One of the rooms was described to have had two double beds and a sofa in it. The victim was then forced to a terrible fours hours of rape.

    In 2002, the king of pop, Michael Jackson was reportedly seen dangling his son, Prince Michael or "Blanket" as he nicknamed, over a window balcony in front of photographers. This brought outrage to see what the superstar did. Now the son of the late superstar is all grown up. 13 years after the incident at the balcony, "Blanket" has changed his name to Bigi Jackson. Bigi was reportedly home-schooled until last year, and is now in the seventh grade in the Sherman Oaks, California school - the same school Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian attended. The boy has grew up to be a sweet, funny, and helpful child of which his father would be proud of.

    Kelly Marcel, screenwriter of the controversial film adaptation of the book Fifty Shades of Grey, said that she will never watch the movie because of her clash with the author of the book, E.L. James. It was reported that when Marcel made the script for the movie, James made many changes to the script which left Marcel "heartbroken". The 41 year old writer said that watching the film would be too painful as it is "much different" to the one she had originally imagined. She said, "My heart really was broken by that process, I really mean it. I don't see it out of any kind of bitterness or anger or anything like that. I just don't feel like I can watch it without feeling some pain about how different it is to what I initially wrote."
  • 'Paramedic Courageously Leaps From Cruise Ship To Save Girlfriend and Dies in the Process

    A 30-year-old Australian paramedic named Paul Rossington courageously leaps from a cruise ship to save his girlfriend, Kristen Schroder. The 26-year-old Schroder apparently slipped from the fifth level balcony of the Carnival Spirit cruise ship. Both Rossington and Schroder died in the accident but their bodies have not yet been found. The couple died on the last night of the cruise but were not noticed missing until the ship docked in Sydney Australia. Witnesses from the cruise ship say that Schroder was climbing over the balcony of their cabin when she suddenly slipped.

Perry's video gains third place behind Justin Bieber's 2010 hit single "Baby" which gains almost 1.2 billion views, and still leading the pack is Psy's hit Korean music video "Gangnam Style" which has an amazing 2.3 billion views.

    Megan Rapinoe, member of the USA team for the FIFA Womens World Cup is not to be taken likely. The 29-year old scored two goals for USA in their game against Autralia, winning it with a score of 3-1. They were able to win in front of a huge American audience at the Winnipeg Stadium in Canada. USA's goalkeeper Hope Solo tested her skills against team Australia's Emily van Egmond during the early part of the game. USA scores first with Megan Rapinoe's amazing shot.

    Cleaveland Cavaliers win games 2 and 3 against the Golden State Warriors. The Cavs back to back finals games against Golden State to bring the series in their favor with 2-1 series win. They manage to hold on even without two of their best players, Kevin Love, and Kyrie Irving, who both are not able to play due to injuries. Love suffered a dislocated left shoulder back in April, and is unable to play in the post season, while Irving recently had knee surgery. Kyrie Irving, the Cavs starting point guard, was injured during game 1 of this years NBA finals against the Golden State Warriors. His injury happened during the first few minutes of overtime.

    A women from upstate New York claims to have seen recently escaped Convicts from the Clinton Correctional Facility. The two witnesses were returning home around 12:30am when they saw two men in their backyard who they claim to be the wanted fugitives. Both men were spotted wearing dark jeans and one of them was said have been carrying a black guitar case. Police are now speculating whether or not the said guitar case was used in hiding the power tools the convicts used in escaping the Prison.

    Texas police officer, Corporal, Eric Casebolt resigns after his actions that were caught on video becomes trending news. Casebolt was placed on administrative leave pending the investigation of his actions against black teens about a disturbance at a community pool. The officer in question apparently pushed down one teen in order to control her then after which, drew out his gun at the other black teens. Fellow officers then rushed to calm Casebolt down and who finally holstered back his gun. Casebolt, who is a 10 year veteran, was once awarded the patrolman the year in their department.
