Bruce Jenner Transition: ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians About Bruce’ Reveals How Family Found Out

There are few families as outspoken with their personal lives as the Kardashian-Jenner clan, but the new special about Bruce Jenner's transition into a woman might be the first time that "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" actually deals with such heavy family drama, in a situation that many across the country will find close to home.

Not a week goes by without one of Kris Jenner's children making worldwide headlines, but in the past few months it's been Bruce Jenner's transition making the most controversial news, as the Olympian gold medalist has been struggling to physically turn into the gender of his "soul" as he's put it.

It was less than a month ago that the Bruce Jenner transition was made official, as the father of Kendall and Kylie talked to Diane Sawyer finally broke months of silence about the rumors regarding his gender identity to come out as transsexual to the mainstream public.

Not long after Bruce Jenner's transition was made official, it was announced that there would be a two-hour special (split into two different episodes) dedicated to how the family handled his change; and the first of these episodes aired last Sunday.

According to Cosmopolitan, the reality show's special about Bruce Jenner's transition was "an honest portrayal of a grieving family," as it told the story not only of Bruce's personal struggles but how the girls in the Kardashian-Jenner family (Rob was absent from the special) had been going through various degrees of grief before finding out why exactly they'd find things like make-up among Bruce's possessions.

The Daily Mail reports that there was certain awareness in the house that Bruce was a cross-dresser, but Khloe said they didn't know this also meant he wanted to transition into becoming a woman.

Supermodel sister Kendall Jenner, one of Bruce's biological children, said she and her sister Kylie would find lipstick among his things when she was little but kept it to herself thinking he was cheating on his mom.

As Bruce had said before, Kim was the first to find out about Bruce and kept it quiet - and The Mirror reports her mother, Kris, broke down crying in front of her daughter.

USA Today reports that Bruce Jenner's transition will be complete soon, and he'll begin living as a woman soon and will ask to be addressed in female pronouns.
