Chris Brown News: Singer Asking Help After Being Banned From Leaving The Philippines Over Dispute With Religious Group

In a now-deleted video, Chris Brown, who travelled to the Philippines for his concert, aired out his frustrations on Thursday, July 23, for being stuck in Manila after being served a fraud complaint filed by a politically powerful and influential religious group in the Philippines, according to reports.

Brown was not able to apply for his immigration clearance that he needs in order to leave Manila, Elaine Tan, the Immigration Bureau spokesperson said via text to the Associated Press.

The 26-year old 'Liquor' singer, who performed at his concert in Manila on Tuesday, July 22, was reportedly put off from leaving the country.

Brown went to social media, asking "Can somebody please tell me what the f--- is going on?"   He added, "I don't know, I'm reading headlines after headlines, what the f--!".

He had also posted a couple of videos on his Instagram page, showing the singer calling out for help to leave the country, however, the said videos were now deleted.

One video showed the R&B artist kneeling on a patterned carpet, pleading "Please, please, let us leave, please". The video clip's caption was believed to be Brown's appeal to President Barack Obama.

Reports say that the dispute filed against the singer traces back to last year's cancelled concert which was supposed to take place at the 55,000-seat Philippine Arena North of Manila, a concert arena operated by a company owned by the same religious group.

The group reportedly holds more than a million members in the Philippines and is also a highly recognized bloc in their country where big-named politicians usually seek for support.

Upon filing the complaint, organizers of the concert said that they were told an excuse that Brown apparently lost his passport at that time and he unfortunately could not make it to the concert.

As stated in the complaint, Brown and his promoter, John Michael Pio Roda, backed out of the scheduled concert after they were paid a full-payment of $1 million. The complaint added that MDC sold the tickets in no time with a guarantee that the singer would perform in the concert.

The alleged influential religious group filed the complaint at the Department of Justice, the first step they took before formally filing the charges in court.

Chris Brown is still in the Philippines while immigration personnel are still in talks with the Department of Justice regarding the case.

Chris Brown being stuck in the Philippines affects the rest of his tour stops, including his shows in Hong Kong and Jakarta, Indonesia.
