Kate Middleton Pregnant in 'Early Stages,' Hospitalized With Morning Sickness, Twitter Roaring With #royalbaby, 'Congrats' Tweets

Kate Middleton is finally pregnant for real this time.

St. James' Palace confirmed Dec. 3 that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge is expecting their first baby.

"Their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that the Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby," the palace said in a statement this morning, according to the Huffington Post.

"The Duchess was admitted this afternoon to King Edward VII Hospital in Central London with Hyperemesis Gravidarum. As the pregnancy is in its very early stages, Her Royal Highness is expected to stay in hospital for several days and will require a period of rest thereafter."

However, the palace did not announce a due date or whether the baby will be a boy or a girl. It might be too early to tell, but either way no one has to speculate or create rumors anymore.

"The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news," the palace said.

The couple, which wed in April 2011 with millions watching, is no double excited for their new bundle of joy. People magazine reported that Middleton, 30, cancelled her next three official engagements because of the sickness.

"Trying for a baby has been their priority," a royal confidant told Us magazine. "They're both excited to be focusing on a new chapter in their lives."

Rumors started speculating last month (or forever) about the Duchess being pregnant; now they are true.

Of course, Twitter frenzy has started over the news, with the hashtag #royalbaby trending on the popular social website.

USA Today listed some tweets from celebrities on Twitter.

"Mazel! Mazel!!" tweeted Katie Couric.

Added Piers Morgan, "Congratulations to every magazine editor for calling Kate Middleton's pregnancy - specially those who did covers on it 11 months ago."

Wrote Khloe Kardashian Odom: "Congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge!! A royal baby!!! :) awwww so sweet."

Prime Minister David Cameron wrote he was "delighted by the news" and said the couple will make "wonderful parents."

There are also some jokes surrounding the pregnancy. The famous book character Christian Grey from E.L. James' "Fifty Shades of Grey" trilogy tweeted (yes he has a Twitter account), "Congratulations to Kate Middleton who is pregnant. Before you ask. I'm not the father."
